1977-650RESOLUTION NO. 77R 650 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY RECORDS, DOCUMENTS, INSTRUMENTS, BOOKS AND PAPERS MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD. WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California authorizes the destruction of records, documents, instruments, books and papers (herein- after "records which are no longer required or needed by the City, upon approval of the City Council and with the written consent of the City Attorney, provided that said records do not fall within certain specified categories; and WHEREAS, the following described records in the possession of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim are records more than two years old and are documents which are authorized for destruction under the provisions of said Section 34090 of the Government Code without making a copy thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim has determined that said records are no longer needed or required by the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the determin- ation of the City Clerk and finds the destruction of the records in the best interests of the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim does by the approval of this Resolution hereby give his written consent for the destruction of the records herein specified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized to immediately destroy, in a lawful manner, the following described documents under her charge without making any copies thereof, to wit: 1. Correspondence, memoranda, reports, and documents regarding National League of Cities Conference of Mayors from 1961 through 1967, 1971 (CA -83); -1- 2. Memoranda, letters, correspondence, reports and copies of employment resolutions regarding City Manager, and miscellaneous memoranda to and from City Manager from 1961 and 1970 through 1974 (CA -84); 3. Documents relating to salary adjustments, retirement rules and regulations, service awards, general safety committee, suggestion awards from 1964 through 1974 (CA -90); Documents and papers relating to Fly and Bee Control from 1960 through 1967, 1972 through 1974 (CA -98); 5. Requests received for notice of special meetings from 1956 through 1965, 1971 (CA -120); 6. Extra copies of Anaheim Stadium Site and Facility Lease, License Agreements, Concessionaire pro- posals, fireworks and occupancy permits, operators and maintenance agreements, and miscellaneous other extra copies of documents and papers relating to Stadium from 1964 through 1974 (CA -122); 7. Written definition of "Industrial Consultant" prepared more than two years ago (CA- 123); 8. Letters, petitions and memoranda regarding complaints from the public about various matters on which no action was taken or which were resolved from 1960 through 1967 (CA -52); 9. Correspondence, memoranda and resolutions from other cities and public agencies relating to pending legislation for the year 1974 (CA -74); 10. Documents and papers relating to appointments to Orange County Mosquito Abatement District from 1961 through 1969 (CA -75); 11. Documents and papers regarding salary rates and charges from 1960 through 1969 (CA -90); 12. Documents and papers received relating to annexations, deannexations, boundary lines, and spheres of influence involving other municipalities from 1954 through 1974); -2- 13. Correspondence, complaints and miscellaneous papers relating to establishment of fees for landscaping, purchasing and planting of trees, including planting lists which have been repealed or superseded from 1960 through 1974 (CA -14); 14. Proposed drafts of ordinances relating to temporary use of trailers as offices or living quarters, including parking and storage, from 1960 through 1973 (CA 16); 15. Nonessential documents and papers relating to traffic signs and signals, median openings, speed limits, divider strips, and crosswalks from 1946 through 1973 (CA 17); 16. Documents, papers and memoranda relating to position of Finance Director (except current City Policy materials) from 1960 through 1974 (CA -64); 17. Documents and papers relating to regulation, installation and maintenance of bus benches from 1960 through 1965; 18. Miscellaneous correspondence, memoranda and papers relating to hospitals from 1962 through 1973 (CA 65); 19. Noncontractual material and papers relating to ambulance services from 1960 through 1973 (CA 4 45); 20. Correspondence relating to Gas Tax Allocation for 1960 and 1961 (CA -85); and 21. Documents and papers involving California State Controller and apportionment of trailer coach fees from 1961 through 1969 (CA 86). AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon destruction of the foregoing records, a certificate of destruction shall be executed and the original thereof filed in the office of the City Clerk together with a copy of this resolution.
