A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE MANPOWER
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS
FOR APPROVED ACTIVITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Orange County
Manpower Commission desire to enter into an agreement to
establish and operate a Comprehensive Manpower Program under
the provisions of Title I of the Comprehensive Employment
and Training Act of 1973 (CETA); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and
considered a proposed CETA Title I Grant for the Comprehensive
Manpower Program in the amount of $883,590.00 from the City's
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
desires to authorize the City Manager of the City of Anaheim
to execute said Agreement with the Orange County Manpower
Commission on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to
approve the proposed CETA Title I Grant, and to authorize
the disbursement of the funds for the approved activities
as allocated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said CETA Title I Grant this day
submitted to the City Council providing for funding for the
Comprehensive Manpower Program in the amount of $883,590.00
be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby authorize the disbursement of funds for approved
activities.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of
September 1977.
