1977-615WHEREAS, the State of California Office of Economic
Opportunity has funds available pursuant to the Special Crisis
Intervention Program (SCIP) to be used for the purpose of pro-
viding relief from the increased costs of energy to poor and
near -poor families and individuals, especially those who also
are elderly and /or handicapped, are American Indians, or are
migrant or seasonal farmworkers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to participate
in said Program; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared whereby the
City of Anaheim will receive a maximum of $12,500.00 in order
to participate in said Program in accordance with the provisions
of said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said agreement
are acceptable to the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said agreement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute
said agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of
September 1977.
