A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI1 APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR
JOINT INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, AND
HIGHWAY LIGHTING SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
(La Palma Avenue and Lakeview)
WHEREAS, a considerable volume of traffic presently
exists and is progressively increasing at the intersection of La
Palma Avenue and Lakeview Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
have determined that a traffic signal and highway lighting system
at the intersection of La Palma Avenue and Lakeview Avenue is war-
ranted for the safe and orderly movement of traffic; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
contemplate the joint installation of a traffic signal and high-
way lighting system at said intersection, which is partially
within the boundaries of the City of Anaheim and within unincor-
porated County area, and wish to specify the proportionate share
of the costs that are to be borne by the City and County and pro-
vide for maintenance following completion of the project; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms and
conditions of which are acceptable to the City Council of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and condi-
tions of said agreement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agree-
ment on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of August 1977.
