A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH DAN L.
ROWLAND AND ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED, AND
LE ROY ROSE AND ASSOCIATES FOR ARCHITECTURAL
SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE CIVIC CENTER
COMPLEX AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, by agreement dated August 7, 1973, Dan L.
Rowland and Associates, Incorporated and Le Roy Rose and Asso-
ciates (hereinafter "Architect as a joint venture, performed
certain planning and architectural services for the City of
Anaheim in connection with the study, analysis, and design of
a proposed Civic Center Complex in the City; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was automatically terminated
pursuant to its provisions after the Design Development Phase;
and
WHEREAS, due to changes occurring in redevelopment
planning, energy conservation standards, administrative reorgani-
zation, and Building Code standards, the City of Anaheim entered
into an agreement dated April 5, 1977, with Architect for archi-
tectural and engineering services to update its proposed Civic
Center design to meet current planning, architectural, and engi-
neering requirements; and
WHEREAS, due to revised preliminary site and exterior
designs completed pursuant to said agreement of April 5, 1977,
changes are needed in the construction documents to reflect
current requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is in need of professional
services necessary to update the Civic Center Construction Docu-
ments and provide all professional services necessary for the
completion of the project during the bidding and construction
administration phases; and
WHEREAS, Architect is qualified to render such services
to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared whereby Archi-
tect will provide such services to the City; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said agreement are
acceptable to the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and con-
ditions of said agreement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said
agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
