A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed pursuant to the provisions of the Public
Services Easements Vacation Law (Section 50430 et seq. Government
Code) in connection with the vacation and abandonment of public
service easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly posted
and published, give notice of its intention to abandon the follow-
ing described public service easement (hereinafter "Easement
to wit:
Those certain easements for sanitary sewer purposes
described in deeds recorded in Book 195, page 3, Book
195, page 4 and in Book 281, page 3 of Deeds, records
of Los Angeles County, located in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as
follows:
Parcel One: Deed recorded in Book 195, page 4 of Deeds.
A strip of land 6 feet wide over the northeasterly por-
tion of Log 11, Block G, Vineyard Lot D -3 as shown on
a map recorded in Book 34, page 592 of Deeds, records
of Los Angeles County, the southerly line of said strip
is described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of said Lot 11
distant 13 feet southerly from the northeasterly corner
of said Lot 11, thence Westerly in a straight line to
an intersection with the north line of said Lot 11,
said point of intersection being in a point in said
north line 35 feet easterly of the northwesterly corner
of said Lot 11.
Parcel Two: Deed recorded in Book 195, page 3 of Deeds.
A strip of land 6 feet wide over the southwesterly por-
tion of Lot 8, Block G, Vineyard Lot D -3 as shown on a
map recorded in Book 34, page 592 of Deeds, records of
Los Angeles County, the northerly line of said strip is
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the southerly line of said Lot
8 distant 78 feet easterly from the southwest corner
thereof; thence Westerly 78.6 feet to a point on the
westerly line of said Lot 8 distant 10.50 feet northerly
from the southwesterly corner of said Lot 8.
Parcel Three: Deed recorded in Book 281, page 3 of Deeds.
That portion of Lot 9, Block G, Vineyard Lot D -3 as shown
on a map recorded in Book 34, page 592, of Deeds, records
of Los Angeles County, the centerline of a 10 -inch sewer
line to be abandoned, is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of said Lot 9
distant five and one -tenth (5.1) feet northerly of the
southeasterly corner thereof; thence Northwesterly diag-
onally across said Lot 9 to an intersection with the west-
erly line of said Lot 9, said point of intersection being
a point in said west line twenty and eight tenths (20.8)
feet northerly of the southwesterly corner of said Lot 9;
and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August, 1977, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find from the evidence submitted to it, that said Easement is un-
necessary for present or prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and abandonment
of said Easement.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim to be recorded in the Office of the County Re-
corder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 2nd day of August, 1977.
