A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON
MENT OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed pursuant to the provisions of the Public
Services Easements Vacation Law (Section 50430 et seq. Government
Code) in connection with the vacation and abandonment of public
service easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly posted
and published, give notice of its intention to abandon the follow-
ing described public service easement (hereinafter "Easement
to wit:
That portion of an existing public utility easement
located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the east line of Lot 98 in
Tract No. 4412, as shown on a map recorded in Book
155, pages 9 to 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
said Orange County, said point being distant north-
erly 6 feet from the southeasterly corner of said
Lot; thence Southwesterly in a direct line to an
intersection with the westerly line of said Lot 98,
said point of intersection being in a line parallel
with and 10 feet northerly of the southerly line of
said lot; thence Northeasterly along said parallel
line 70 feet, more or less, to an intersection with
the easterly line of said Lot 98; thence Southerly
along a portion of the easterly line of said Lot 98
to the point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August, 1977, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find from the evidence submitted to it, that said Easement is un-
necessary for present or prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and abandonment
of said Easement.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim to be recorded in the Office of the County Re-
corder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 2nd day of August, 1977.
