A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
HOUSING REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND OWNERS OF
HOMES IN THE HOUSING REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
TRAINING PROJECT AREA AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 75R -582 DELEGATING SUCH
AUTHORITY TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT PROGRAM COORDINATOR.
WHEREAS, heretofore, on the llth day of November,
1975, the City Council did pass its Resolution No. 75R -582
authorizing the Community Development Block.Grant Program
Coordinator to approve, enter into, and execute on behalf
of the City of Anaheim, individual housing repair and
maintenance service agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to
rescind said Resolution No. 75R -582 and to delegate the
authority to execute said housing repair and maintenance
agreements to the Executive Director, Community Development
or Manager, Housing and Neighborhood Preservation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has been granted funds
by the Orange County Manpower Commission pursuant to the
Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 for the
development and conducting of a Housing Repair and
Maintenance Training Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has been granted funds
by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment for the Community Development Block Grant Program to
provide necessary materials for said Housing Repair and
Maintenance Project; and
WHEREAS, the North Orange County Community College
District has contracted with the City of Anaheim to provide
training and "on- site" experience in housing repair and
maintenance in connection with said Housing Repair and
Maintenance Training Project; and
WHEREAS, certain owners of homes in said Housing
Repair and Maintenance Training Project Area desire to obtain
housing repair and maintenance for their property and are
willing to permit their property to be utilized for "on -site"
training pursuant to said Agreement between the City of
Anaheim and North Orange County Community College District
relating to Housing Repair and Maintenance Training; and

WHEREAS, a form of agreement providing for housing
repair and maintenance services to be performed upon said
home owners' property has been prepared to be made and
entered into between the City of Anaheim and said individual
home owners; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to
delegate authority to the Executive Director, Community
Development or the Manager, Housing and Neighborhood
Preservation to approve, enter into, and execute on behalf
of the City of Anaheim said individual housing repair and
maintenance service agreements in amounts not to exceed
$4,000.00 per home.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Executive Director, Community
Development or the Manager, Housing and Neighborhood Preser-
vation be, and they are hereby, authorized to enter into
and execute said individual housing repair and maintenance
service agreements in amounts not to exceed $4,000.00 per
home, for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that it
rescind and it does hereby rescind Resolution No. 75R -582
dated November 11, 1975.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 29th day of March 1977.
