1977-200RESOLUTION NO. 77R -200 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 O'CLOCK P.M. ON THE 10TH DAY OF MARCH, 1977, FOR MODIFICATIONS AND INSTALLATION OF PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL INDICATIONS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, WORK ORDER NO. 802 -A. WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 15th day of February, 1977, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 77R -104 finding and determining that public convenience and necessity required the modification and installation of pedestrian signal indica- tions at various locations in the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed proposals for the above mentioned public improvement, and fixing the 10th day of March, 1977, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, upon said 10th day of March, 1977, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open the bids so received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Enginner did review the bids so received and did report the result thereof to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 22nd day of March, 1977; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bids received are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of said public improvement and is not represen- tative of actual construction costs; that said bids should be rejected; and that said job should be readvertised at a later date. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour of 2:00. o'clock P.M. on the 10th day of March, 1977, reviewed by the City Engineer, and submitted to the City Council on March 22, 1977, for the modification and installa- tion of pedestrian signal indications at various City locations, Work Order No. 802 -A, be, and the same are hereby, rejected and that said job be readvertised at a later date. -1- THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 22nd day of March, 1977.
