A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF AN ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT
AMONG THE CITIES OF ANAHEIM, COSTA MESA,
FULLERTON, GARDEN GROVE, AND SANTA ANA,
PERTAINING TO THE ADDITION OF COSTA MESA
TO AN AGREEMENT DATED OCTOBER 1, 1973,
EMPLOYING A WASHINGTON, D.C., REPRESENTA-
TIVE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Fullerton, Garden Grove,
Huntington Beach, and Santa Ana have heretofore agreed to employ
and share the expense of a Washington, D.C., Representative to
provide said cities with representation before Congress and other
Federal agencies; and
WHEREAS, the City of. Huntington Beach, pursuant to
Section 3 of a prior Agreement dated October 1, 1973, has given
written notice of termination and desires to be deleted as a party
to said Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa desires to become a party
to said Agreement; and
WHEREAS, an Addendum to the Agreement of October 1, 1973,
has been prepared to add Costa Mesa as a party to said Agreement; and
WHEREAS, by executing the said Addendum, the parties
thereto consent to the addition of Costa Mesa as a party to said
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the terms of said Addendum to Agreement are
satisfactory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the terms of an Addendum to Agreement between
the Cities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Garden Grove, and
Santa Ana pertaining to the addition of Costa Mesa to an Agreement
dated October 1,. 1973, employing a Washington, D.C., Representative
be, and the same are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Addendum to
Agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 22nd day of March 1977.
