1977-184RESOLUTION NO. 77R -184 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON PENT OF A CERTAIN PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT. (Public Utility Easement 76 -12A) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has elected to proceed pursuant to the provisions of the Public Services Easements Vacation Law (Section 50430 et seq. Government Code) in connection with the vacation and abandonment of public service easements; and WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly posted and published, give notice of its intention to abandon the follow- ing described public service easement (hereinafter "Easement to wit: That certain public utility easement located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Califor- nia, described in the deed recorded October 24, 1961 in Book 5891, page 296, O.R., lying within a portion of Parcel One and Parcel Four, as shown on a map filed in Book 85, page 17, Parcel Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County, described as follows: A strip of land 10 feet in width lying within a por- tion of the Northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 4 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B. M., the centerline of said strip being described as follows: Beginning at a Southern California Edison Company Pole No. 274835E located approximately 734 feet, measured at right angles from the southerly line of Walnut Street, as now established and distant easterly 475 feet, measured at right angles from the easterly line of Jefferson Street, as now established; thence South- westerly to a point located easterly 375 feet, measured at right angles from the centerline of said Jefferson Street and distant southerly 765.79 feet, measured at right angles from the centerline of said Walnut Street, said point being hereinafter referred to as Point "A thence Westerly and parallel with said centerline of Walnut Street to the said easterly line of Jefferson Street. Also, a strip of land 4 feet in width lying within said Northwest quarter, the centerline of said strip being described as follows: Beginning at said Point "B thence Easterly and paral- lel with said centerline of Walnut Street a distance of 35 feet; and WHEREAS, on the 15th day of March, 1977, a public hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning said proposed abandonment; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find from the evidence submitted to it, that said Easement is un- necessary for present or prospective public use. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and abandonment of said Easement. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of the City of Anaheim to be recorded in the Office of the County Re- corder of Orange County, California.
