RESOLUTION NO. 77R-178
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED
UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 3RD DAY
OF MARCH, 1977, FOR THE PARK BUILDINGS AT
SCHWEITZER PARK, WORK ORDER NO. 845; RIO
VISTA PARK, WORK ORDER NO. 851 JUAREZ
PARK, WORK ORDER NO. 868.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 1st day of February,
1977, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 77R -70 finding and determining that public convenience and
necessity required the construction and completion of park buildings
at Schweitzer Park, Rio Vista Park and Juarez Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the above mentioned public improvement and fixing
the 3rd day of March, 1977, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as
the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber
in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 3rd day of March, 1977, at the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open the
bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in the
City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review the bids so re-
ceived and did report the results thereof to the City Council at
its regular meeting held on the 15th day of March, 19/7; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of
said public improvement and are not representative of actual con
struction costs; that said bids should be rejected; and that said
job should be readvertised at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M., on the 3rd day of March, 1977, reviewed by the City Engineer
and submitted to the City Council on March 15, 1977, be and the same
are hereby, rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
15th day of March, 1977.
