1977-174WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has entered into an
Economy Energy Agreement with Nevada Power Company for the
purchase of Non -Firm Energy; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has requested that the
Department of Water and Power of the City of Los Angeles provide
interruptible transmission service for Non -Firm Energy purchased
by Anaheim, pursuant to the Economy Energy Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Los Angeles is willing to provide to Anaheim
interruptible transmission service for Non -Firm Energy during
such time when there is surplus capacity in certain electrical
transmission facilities of Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared whereby the
Department of Water and Power of the City of Los Angeles will
provide such interruptible transmission service; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said agreement
are acceptable to the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said agreement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Utilities Director of
the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
