A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT WITH JACK K.
SAMUELS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF
ADVERTISING FOR ANAHEIM STADIUM SCORE
BOARD AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim operates a Multi- Purpose
Stadium Complex for major league baseball games and other sporting
events, concerts, shows, exhibitions, and other public events; and
WHEREAS, the City has erected a Giant "A" scoreboard
structure in said stadium in order to provide information to
those in attendance at such events in said Stadium and to make
said Stadium usable for said events; and
WHEREAS, said scoreboard is constructed in such a way
as to permit the addition and maintenance of advertising signs
thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to engage the services of an
advertising sales representative with special knowledge and
experience in the sale of advertising for said Stadium scoreboard;
and
WHEREAS, Jack K. Samuels is qualified as a representative
for such sales of advertising and is willing to serve as such sales
representative; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared whereby Jack K.
Samuels will provide such service; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said agreement are
acceptable to the City Council of the City of Anaheim
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said agreement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said
agreement on behalf of the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 15th day of March 1977.
