A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 142,
EXHIBIT "E" FOR AREA I, EXHIBIT "A" FOR AREA
II, AND EXHIBIT "2 -B" FOR AREA III
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of February, 1977, the
City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a
public hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The
General Plan Amendment does consider changing the land use
designation for the following areas:
AREA I
Subject vicinity is an irregularly shaped parcel
of land consisting of approximately 29.4 acres
bounded by the Carbon Creek Channel to the north
and west, Pacific Electric Railway to the south
and west, and Knott Street to the east.
AREA II
Subject vicinity is an irregularly- shaped parcel
consisting of approximately 6 acres located west
of Sunkist Street to depths of approximately 100
feet north and 350 feet south of Lincoln Avenue.
AREA III
Subject vicinity (also referred to as Planning
Area B) consists of approximately 14,440 acres
generally bounded by the Newport Freeway /Richfield
Road to the west, Orangethorpe Avenue /Esperanza
Road, centerline of the Santa Ana River to the
north, Orange Riverside County line to the east,
and the ridgeline to the south. (Note: the
boundaries are coterminous with Anaheim's Sphere
of Influence as established by LAFCO).
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC77 -46 con-
taining a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence
presented at said hearing, and a recommendation that said

Amendment to the General Plan designated as Amendment No.
142 be adopted by the City Council, changing the land use
designation for Area I in accordance with Exhibit "D, for
Area II in accordance with Exhibit "A and for Area III
in accordance with Exhibit "2 -B and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary
of evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the
City Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 8th
day of March, 1977, as the time and the City Hall as the
place for a public hearing on said proposed Amendment No.
142 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided
by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct
such public hearing and did give all persons interested there-
in an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and
reports and did consider the recommendations of the City
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that Amendment No. 142, changing the land use designation in
the aforedescribed Area I in accordance with Exhibit "E,"
Area II in accordance with Exhibit "A," and Area III in
accordance with Exhibit "2 -B" on file in the City Planning
Commission, as recommended by the Planning Commission, should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Aneheim that Amendment No. 142 to the General
Plan changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
Area I in accordance with Exhibit "E," Area II in accordance
with Exhibit "A," and Area III in accordance with Exhibit "2 -B"
on file in the City Planning Commission be, and the same is
hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department
be, and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan
Map to conform to General Plan Amendment No. 142, Exhibit "E"
for Area I, Exhibit "A" for Area II, and Exhibit "2 -B" for
Area III as herein approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 8th day of March, 1977.
