1977-116WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 73R -81 dated the 27th
day of February, 1973, the City Council of the City of
Anaheim approved the City's participation in the establish-
ment of the Santa Ana River and Santiago Creek Greenbelt
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim entered into a Joint
Powers Agreement for the establishment and operation of said
Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement provided in Section 17
thereof that the Agreement may be terminated by resolutions
of the governing boards of two thirds of the members and
that upon termination, the remaining assets, if any,
distributed among the members and former members, if any, in
proportion to the total contributions they have made to the
Commission; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of
the City of Anaheim to withdraw its participation in the
Commission, and that the said Agreement be terminated and the
Commission be dissolved, and that any remaining assets to
which the City of Anaheim is entitled pursuant to said
Section 17 be forwarded to the City's Finance Director.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City's participation in the
Santa Ana River and Santiago Creek Greenbelt Commission be
terminated and that any assets to which the City of Anaheim
is entitled be forwarded to the Finance Director of the City
of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
