1977-108RESOLUTION NO. 77R -108 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR PART -TIME JOB CLASSES REPRESENTED BY THE SERVICE AND HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES UNION, LOCAL NO. 399 AND REPEALING RESOLUTIONS 74R -89, 74R -90, 74R -134 and 76R -184. WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the Service and Hospital Employees Union, Local No. 399 to discuss wages and working conditions, and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to repeal Resolutions No. 74R -89, 74R -90, 74R -134, and 76R -184 which established rates of compensation for job classes represented by the Service and Hospital Employees Union, Local No. 399, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates of compensation for these classifications is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that rates of compensation and working conditions for classifications represented by the Service and Hospital Employees Union, Local No. 399 be adopted as follows: 1. Box) 5.60 5.80 6.00 Ticket Seller (Exchange) 5.48 5.68 5.88 Money Counter (5 hr. minimum) 6.45 6.65 6.85 Elevator Operator 3.89 4.09 4.29 All classifications listed on an hourly basis shall be paid such rate for hours worked with a four -hour guaranteed minimum per event except as noted above. Said work period is not restricted to any specific hours, but shall be as required by ANAHEIM for each event. Pay for more than the minimum shall be compensated in fifteen (15) minute increments. All classifications listed above shall also be entitled to the following: American League World Series Play -off Games Time and one -half Major League All Star Games Time and one -half Two Separate Events Double Pay Ticket Seller classes listed above working on an event basis shall receive an additional $3.00 per event for national competition professional double headers. On New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, Employees working in the above classifications shall receive a minimum guarantee equal to the equivalent of ONE (1) HOUR'S PAY in addition to the minimum specified above. In case of rain -out or cancellation of event and if ANAHEIM does not give reasonable notice, either personally or through public communications, the above classification employees will receive TWO (2) HOURS' PAY if the employee reports for work and FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY if the gates are open. 2. OTHER TYPE EMPLOYEES HOURLY PAY RATES CLASSIFICATION 2/14/77 2/13/78 2/12/79 Group A Part -Time Janitor 3.97 4.17 4.37 Sweeper 3.82 4.02 4.22 Part -Time Guard 3.95 4.15 4.35 Group B Maid 3.82 4.02 4.22 Porter 3.82 4.02 4.22 Ticket Clerk 4.53 4.73 4.93 Ticket Seller 5.90 6.10 6.30 Nurse 5.42 5.62 5.82 The classification and rates of "Part -Time Janitor" above shall apply only to employees regularly assigned to perform janitorial functions at specific office locations at Anaheim Stadium. Janitorial -type functions or services rendered in all other areas shall be performed by Porters, Sweepers and Maids and they shall be paid at the applicable rate for their respective classifications. In the event ANAHEIM assigns Sweepers, Porters or Maids to perform janitorial type work in the same specific office locations, employees so assigned shall be paid the "Part -Time Janitor" rate of pay for each hour or quarterly fraction thereof that they perform work in these specific locations. If leadworkers are used by ANAHEIM in any of the above hourly classi- fications, they shall receive an additional TWENTY -FIVE CENTS (250 per hour. In the event ANAHEIM assigns Sweepers to operate Scrubmobiles and Power Sweepers, employees so assigned shall receive a premium in the amount of FIFTEEN CENTS (150 per hour above their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour or quarterly fraction thereof that they perform such assignments. In case of rain -out or cancellation of event and if ANAHEIM does not give reasonable notice, either personally or through public communications, the above classification employees will receive TWO (2) HOURS' PAY if the employee reports for work and FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY if the gates are open. All employees in Group 2, Other Type Employees, shall receive a minimum of FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY for all events at Anaheim Stadium. On New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanks- giving Day and Christmas Day, employees working in the above classi- fications shall receive a minimum guarantee equal to the equivalent of ONE (1) HOUR'S PAY in addition to the minimums specified above. All hourly employees in any classification listed in Section 2 shall receive TIME AND ONE -HALF for work in such hourly classification in excess of EIGHT (8) HOURS in any ONE (1) DAY OR FORTY (40) HOURS in any ONE WEEK. 1. For the events where the four -hour minimum rates are applicable for crowd control employees, they shall be paid for such four -hour minimum rate for each separate event which they work in any day. On New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanks- giving Day and Christmas Day, employees working in the above classi- fications shall receive a minimum guarantee equal to the equivalent of ONE (1) HOUR'S PAY in addition to the minimums specified above. In case of cancellation of event, and if ANAHEIM does not give reasonable notice, either personally or through public communications, ANAHEIM will pay to crowd control employees as follows: TWO (2) HOURS' PAY if the employee reports for work; and FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY if the gates are open. 2. Janitorial type functions or services rendered in all other areas shall be performed by Cleaner Set -Up Worker, Porter, and Maids and they shall be paid at the applicable rate for their respective classifications. In the event ANAHEIM assigns Cleaner Set -Up Workers, Porters or Maids to perform janitorial -type work in the same specific locations, employees so assigned shall be paid the "Part -Time Janitor" rate of pay for each hour or quarterly fraction thereof that they perform work in these specific locations. If leadworkers are used by ANAHEIM in any of the above hourly classi- fications, they shall receive an additional TWENTY -FIVE CENTS (25Q) per hour. In case of cancellation of an event and if ANAHEIM does not give reasonable notice, either personally or through public communications, the above classification employees will receive TWO (2) HOURS' PAY if the employee reports for work and FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY if the gates are open. ATTEST: All employees in Group 2, Other Type Employees, shall receive a minimum of FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY for all events at Anaheim Convention Center. On New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanks- giving Day and Christmas Day, employees working in the above classi- fications shall receive a minimum guarantee equal to the equivalent of ONE HOUR'S PAY in addition to the minimums specified above. All hourly employees in any classification listed in above Section shall receive TIME AND ONE -HALF for work in such hourly classification in excess of EIGHT (8) HOURS in any ONE (1) DAY or FORTY (40) HOURS in any ONE WEEK. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim shall continue during the life of this agreement to contribute to the existing Health and Welfare program for employees listed under Group A, "OTHER TYPE EMPLOYEES" Stadium and "OTHER TYPE EMPLOYEES" Convention Center who work eighty (80) hours or more during one month, and that the current contribution shall be twenty -three dollars and sixty -five cents ($23.65) which may be adjusted upward in order to maintain benefits, but which shall not exceed thirty -nine dollars ($39.00) during the term of the agreement, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution Nos. 74R -89, 74R -90, 74 -134 and 76R -184 are hereby repealed, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be the 14th day of February, 1977.
