A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76R-726
PERTAINING TO OBSERVANCE OF THE CHRISTMAS
HOLIDAY, 1976 AND THE NEW YEAR'S DAY HOLIDAY,
1977.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim adopted
Resolution No. 76R-726 on November 16, 1976 which suspended
application of an existing Personnel Rule in order that all City
employees for whom December 25, 1976 and January 1, 1977 are scheduled
days off could observe the Christmas holiday on Friday, December 24,
1976 and the New Year's Day Holiday on Friday, December 31, 1976 and,
WHEREAS, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
Local No. 47, who represent employees of the Utilities Employees Unit
has subsequently requested that this Unit be exempt from the Resolution
of November 16, 1976 and that these employees for whom December 25,
1976 and January 1, 1977 are scheduled days off shall observe the
Christmas Holiday on. Monday, December 27, 1976 and the New Year's Day
Holiday on Monday, January 3, 1977 in accordance with the established
Personnel Rule, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend
Resolution No. 76R-726 as it relates to observance of the Christmas
Holiday, 1976 and the New Year's Day Holiday, 1977 as said Resolution
pertains to the Utilities Employees Unit only, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that this amendment regarding observance of the Christmas Holiday, 1976
and the New Year's Day Holiday, 1977 as it pertains to the Utilities
Employees Unit only is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 76R-726 is amended to provide that
employees of the Utilities Employees Unit shall observe the Christmas
Holiday 1976 on Monday, December 27, 1976 and the New Year's Day Holiday
on Monday, January 3, 1977 in accordance with the established Personnel
Rule.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
21st day of December , 1976.
