BEHALF OF THE CITY OF 11-INIA-HEIII-1.
WHEREAS, the State of California has enacted legislation
designed to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of
the people of the State and to cultivate the development of goon
citizenship by provisions for adequate programs of conrcLunit-, ' 7 recre-
ation; and further, to authorize cities and public school districts
having powers to provide recreation to organize, promote, and con-
duct such programs of community recreation as will contribute to
the attainment of general educational and recreational objectives
for children and adults of the State, which legislation is Sections
16651 to 16655, Chapter 6 of Division of the Education Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the Orange Uni-fiec!
School District desires to construct and operate a public park on
premises lying adjacent to Crescent Elementary School situatec.1 in
the City of Anaheim for -the benefit of the residents of the City
and the students attending District's schools; and
WTHEERLAS, an Agreement has been submitted, the terms and
conditions of which are satisfactory to the City of Analie-41A.
