A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
�.- OF ANAHEIM APPROVI ,IG AN .AGREEMENT WITH THE
ANAHEII4 UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR A
JOINT COMMU-NITY RECREATIONAL PROGRAM FOR
VARIOUS TENNIS COURTS IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND AUTHORIZING THE RIAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Union High School District owns,
maintains and operates eight (8) tennis courts at Magnolia High
School, 2450 West Ball Road_, and eight (8) tennis courts at
Savanna High School, 301 Borth Gilbert Street, as well as tennis
courts at other schools maintained by the District within the
City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Education Code Sections 16651
through 16664, the parties desire to engage in a joint cor:munity
recreation program to be conducted at and on the tennis courts at
Maanolia and Savanna High Schools; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitiate the use of said recrea-
tional program, as well as to enhance the use of said courts in
the educational program at 1-2agnolia and Savanna High Schools, the
parties desire to provide (1) for the installation of lighting at
and for the said courts at said two high schools, (2) for the
maintenance and upkeep of said courts, (3) for the use of said
courts at said tato high schools by the public during the times
when they are not needed for school purposes and (4) for the col-
lection, retention and expenditure of fees to be charged for non -
school use of said courts at said two high schools by the public;
and
WHEREAS, an agreement has this day been submitted., the
terms and conditions of which are satisfactory to tze City of
Anaheim.
NOW, `HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an Agreement
with the Anaheim Union High School District for a joint community
recreational program for various tennis courts in the City of
Anaheim be, and they are hereby, approved.
BE ST FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf
of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
