1976-675RESOLUTION NO. 76R- 675 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR SOME MANAGEMENT STAFF JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND SUPERSEDING PORTIONS OF RESOLUTION NO. 76R-314. WHEREAS, rates of compensation for represented Police and Utility job classes were adjusted effective October 15, 1976, and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to adjust rates of compensation for related management staff classes by superseding portions of Resolution No. 76R-314, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates of compensation for these job classes is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: Continn 1 That effective October 15, 1976 through April 14, 1977 inclusive the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in the classi- fication listed below shall be allocated to the salary schedule as follows: Classification Police Lieutenant Section 2. In order for the rates of pay listed herein to be implemented on the effective date of this resolution, each Department Head must affirm by October 28, 1976 that each employee in the classes listed herein is performing satisfactorily. Otherwise, the employee shall be compensated at his existing rate of pay until the appropriate Department Head affirms that the services of the employee have been found to be satisfactory. At such time an employee shall have his salary adjusted effective on the 1st day of the pay period in which the appropriate Department. Head affirms that the services of the employee have been found to be satisfactory and shall retain his salary step status in the newly authorized salary schedule and shall retain the same anniversary date for purposes of merit pay increases. 7 The letter "U" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees temporarily assigned (upgraded) to that job class shall be paid premium pay as provided in Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay. The letter "X" preceding a schedule number indicates that employees working in that job class are exempt from overtime provisions as provided in Personnel Rule 6.04, Premium Pay. Section 8. The regular hourly rate of pay and overtime compensation for employees working in job classes listed in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be computed as provided in Personnel Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day, and Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay. Section 9. Resolution No. 76R-314 shall remain in full force and effect except to the extent superseded by this Resolution. Section 10. The effective date of this resolution shall be the 15th day of October, 1976. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this 26th day of October , 1976.
