RESOLUTION NO. 68R- 185
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING NO PARKING AREAS ON
PORTIONS OF STATE COLLEGE BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California has suggested that, in order to provide for an adequate
storage lane for southbound vehicles desiring to turn left from
State College Boulevard onto South Street, parking should be pro-
hibited at all times on the west side of State College Boulevard
from 250 feet south of the center line of Savoy Avenue to 150 feet
north of the center line of Savoy Avenue, and on the east side from
the center line of South Street to 300 feet north thereof; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or prohibit
the parking of vehicles on a State Highway, if the resolution is
first submitted to and approved, in writing, by the Department of
Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it shall be unlawful for any person to
park or leave parked any vehicle, at any time, on State College
Boulevard, on the west side, from 250 feet south of the center
line of Savoy Avenue to 150 feet north of the center line of Savoy
Avenue, and on the east side,from the center line of South Street
to 300 feet north thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall go
into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the Depart-
ment of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 2nd day of July, 1968.
