A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS BY THE DIRECTOR
OF PARKS AND RECREATION TO EMPLOY INSTRUCTORS
FOR RECREATION ACTIVITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to employ certain
instructors for recreation activities; and
WHEREAS, certain qualified instructors desire to be em-
ployed by the City as instructors for recreation activities; and
WHEREAS, certain forms of agreement will from time to
time be made and entered into between the City and certain in-
structors, providing for the employment of said instructors upon
the terms and conditions therein set forth, which agreements
would be to the advantage and in the best interests of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a form of agreement, including the
following terms and conditions:
1. Inclusive dates, days per week and hours per day as speci-
fied by the Director of Parks and Recreation.
2. The City shall agree to pay the instructor ninety percent
(90 of the total tuition fees actually collected from
students enrolling in classes taught by the instructor.
One -third (1/3) to be paid on the 1st day of the month
following completion of one -third (1/3) of the total
course of instruction; one -third (1/3) to be paid on the
1st day of the month following completion of two thirds (2/3)
of the total course of instruction; one -third (1/3) to be
paid on the 1st day of the month following completion of the
entire course of instruction.
3. In the event that revenues from the course of instruction
are insufficient to meet total expenses, it shall be under-
stood that the cost beyond revenue will be borne by the
instructor.
4. The instructor shall agree to furnish, without cost to the
City, a qualified substitute instructor to be used in assist-
ing or standing in whenever the instructor is absent.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Parks and
Recreation be, and he is hereby authorized to execute such
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
