A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A LOADING
ZONE AT 715 NORTH ANAHEIM BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, a request has been received by the City of
Anaheim for a passenger loading zone at 715 North Anaheim Boule-
vard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that to eliminate
traffic hazards and to promote the safety and welfare of the
citizens and residents of the City of Anaheim, a loading zone
should be established on the west side of Anaheim Boulevard
from 195 feet north of the center line of Wilhelmina Street to
a point 235 feet northerly thereof; and
WHEREAS, Section 21458 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California provides that whenever local authorities
enact local parking regulations and indicate them by the use
of paint upon curbs, yellow shall indicate stopping only for
the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or freight; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or
prohibit the parking of vehicles on a State Highway, if the
resolution is first submitted to and approved, in writing, by
the Department of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that a loading zone be established on
the west side of Anaheim Boulevard from 195 feet north of the
center line of Wilhelmina Street to a point 235 feet northerly
thereof; and that the Chief of Police be, and he is hereby
authorized and directed to designate such loading zone by
yellow paint or other yellow material upon the entire curb
surface therein, with the words "loading only" in black letter-
ing thereon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall go
into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the Depart-
ment of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 28th day of June, 1968.
