1968-300WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has heretofore acquired
for public purposes certain real property in the vicinity of the
Santa Ana Canyon Road and Pinney Drive, including the property
described in those certain Corporation Grant Deeds in favor of
the State of California, dated May 28, 1968, copies of which are
on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the State of California has offered to pay to
the City of Anaheim the sum of $173,556.00 for that portion of
the property covered by said Corporation Grant Deeds, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the use of the
property by the State of California for Freeway purposes
constitutes a use paramount to the public use contemplated by
the City of Anaheim for said property, and that it is in the
best interests of the City of Anaheim to accept the sum of
$173,556.00 from the State of California as payment for said
property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it accept, and it does hereby accept,
the offer of the State of California to purchase city -owned land
as described in those certain Corporation Grant Deeds in favor
of the State of California, dated May 28, 1968, copies of which
are on file in the office of the City Clerk, for the sum of
$173,556.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf
of the City of Anaheim Corporation Grant Deeds in favor of the
State of California covering the property to which reference has
been heretofore made.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Anaheim that certain Right of Way Contract
State Highway, copy of which is on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me on this 28th day of May, 1968.
