1968-275RESOLUTION NO. 68R- 275 A RESOLUTION OF TIIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING THE GRANT DEED OF TIMOTHY W. WALLACE, ORDERING RECORDATION THEREOF; AND AUTTHORIZING AND DIRECTING PAYMENT THEREFOR. WHEREAS, on April 23, 1960, the City Council did authorize negotiations for and the purchase of a certain parcel of land owned by Timothy W. Wallace, at not to exceed $100,000.00; and WHEREAS, said Timothy W. Wallace has agreed to accept the sum of $100,000.00 for said land and has tendered a deed to said property to the City describing the land as follows: All that area situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: That portion of "Dreyfus and Others" lands, as shown on a Map of Anaheim Extension made by Wm. Hamel and filed for record in Los Angeles County, a copy of which is shown in Book 3, pages 163 et seq., entitled "Los Angeles County Maps" in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at a point which bears North 74 -1/2° East 270.25 feet from the point of intersection of the cen- terline of South Street and the. Easterly line of Orange Street, as shown on said Map; thence Easterly along said centerline of South Street, 244.75 feet; thence South 15 -1/2° East, 10 chains; thence South 74 -1/2° West, 244.75 feet; thence North 15 -1/2 West, 10 chains to the point of beginning. Excepting therefrom the interest in the Northerly 30 feet included within South Street conveyed to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded March 4, 1912 in Book 210, page 6 of Deeds, records of said Orange County. AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to accept said deed, record the same and pay the owner thereof the amount herein indicated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it accept, and it does hereby accept, the grant deed of Timothy W. Wallace covering the above- described property and that it order, and it does hereby order, that the same be recorded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to deliver a City Warrant in favor of Timothy W. Wallace in the amount of $100,000.00 to the office of the City Attorney for delivery to said property owner or his agent. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Right of Way Division of the City of Anaheim be, and it is hereby directed, in connection with the recordation of said deed, to delay recording thereof until it is satisfied that there are no encumbrances against said property, and after recording to certify such fact to the office of the City Attorney.
