RESOLUTION NO. 68R- 243
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE DIRECTOR OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA TO DEMAND PRESENTATION OF A CERTIF-
ICATE OF ZONING COMPLIANCE PRIOR TO THE ISSU-
ANCE'OF ANY PERMIT PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 5250,
ET SEQ., OF THE BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS CODE
OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the State of California has duly enacted into
law Sections 5250 through 5261.5 of the Business and Professions
Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, Section 5251 of said Code permits the City
Council of the City of Anaheim to adopt a resolution requesting
the Director of the Department of Public Works of the State of
California to require the presentation of a certificate of zoning
compliance from said City by any person or entity proposing to
locate any advertising display to be placed within any area sub-
ject to the zoning regulations of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it request, and it does hereby request
the said Director to demand that a certificate of zoning compli-
ance, issued by the City of Anaheim, be presented to said
Director by any person or entity proposing to locate any adver-
tising display to be placed within any area subject to the zoning
regulations of the City of Anaheim, prior to the issuance to
said person or entity by said Director of any permit issued pur-
suant to Sections 5250, et seq., of the Business and Professions
Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Development Services
Director of the City of Anaheim be designated as the proper
official to receive and file applications for certificates of
zoning compliance pursuant to this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby directed to certify and forward a copy of this resolu-
tion to the Director of the Department of Public Works of the
State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
