A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered to
sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of ESTHER HOFFMAN, an un-
married woman, and PATRICIA ELOISE BECKER, a married woman,
mother and daughter, to sell to the City of Anaheim the follow-
ing described real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, to be used for road and
public utility purposes, and more particularly described as
follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes over,
under and across the Easterly 45 feet as measured at
right angles to the center line of Western Avenue of that
parcel of land described as follows:
That portion of the North half of the Northeast quarter
of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of
Section 14, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, in the
Rancho Los Coyotes, as said Section is shown on a Map
recorded in Book 51, page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County, that lies Southerly of a
line parallel with and 33.00 feet Southerly of the
following described line: Commencing at the center line
intersection of Knott Street (formerly Hansen) and Ball
Road, as said intersection is shown in County Surveyor's
Transit Book 107, page 19 on file in the office of the
County Surveyor of said County on October 23, 1957; thence
North 0° 31' 00" West along said Knott Street center line,
1566.92 feet to the true point of beginning, said true
point of beginning also being distant thereon
South 0° 31' 00" East, 1102.32 feet from the center line
of Orange Avenue, as shown in said Transit Book 107,
page 19 on October 23, 1957; thence from said true point
of beginning North 80° 44' 00" East 202.28 feet to the
beginning of a curve tangent, concave Northwesterly and
having a radius of 1,000.00 feet; thence Northeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 34° 12' 31
an arc distance of 597.05 feet to a line tangent;
thence North 46° 31' 29" East, 282.73 feet to the beginning
of a curve tangent, concave Southerly and having a radius
of 1200.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 42° 50' 16 an arc distance
of 897.19 feet to a line tangent; thence North 89° 21' 45"
East, 330.65 feet to the beginning of a curve tangent,
concave Northerly and having a radius of 1600.00 feet;
thence Easterly along said curve through a central angle
of 20° 49' 30 an arc distance of 581.55 feet to a point
in the center line of Western Avenue as said center line
is shown in County Surveyor's Transit Book 114, page 32
on file in the office of the County Surveyor of said
County on October 23, 1957, said point being distant
thereon South 0° 33' 45" East, 199.71 feet from the center
line of Orange Avenue as shown in said Transit Book 114,
page 32 on October 23, 1957, and also being distant
thereon North 0° 33' 45" West, 2468.65 feet from the
center line of Ball Road as shown in said Transit Book
114, page 32 on October 23, 1957.
EXCEPT THEREFROM the Westerly 330.00 feet of said North
half.
ALSO EXCEPT THEREFROM that portion described in the deed
to Orange County Flood Control District recorded February 1,
1960 in Book 5079, page 87 of Official Records.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance
of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay
to the owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the
City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 16th day of April 1968.
