RESOLUTION NO. 68R- 188
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING NO PARKING
AREAS ON PORTIONS OF LINCOLN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways of the State of
California is contemplating modification of the traffic signals
at the intersection of Lincoln and Manchester Avenues; and
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Division of
Highways to prohibit parking on Lincoln Avenue, on the north
side, from Manchester Avenue to 200 feet west thereof, and on
the south side from Manchester Avenue to 300 feet west thereof,
in order to provide for right turning movements in the inter-
section and a better traffic flow; and
WHEREAS, Section 22506 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California authorizes the City Council to restrict or prohibit
parking on a State highway, if the resolution is first submitted
to and approved, in writing, by the Department of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that parking be prohibited on Lincoln Avenue,
on the north side, from Manchester Avenue to 200 feet west there-
of, and on the south side, from Manchester Avenue to 300 feet west
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall go
into effect immediately upon approval, in writing, by the Depart-
ment of Public Works of the State of California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 2nd day of April, 1968.
