A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CON-
TROL DISTRICT IN CONNECTION WITH THE IMPROVE-
MENT OF THE EAST RICHFIELD CHANNEL FLOOD CON-
TROL FACILITY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, improvement of a portion of the East Richfield
Channel (Facility No. E01S01) is needed to properly convey storm
runoff to the Orange County Flood Control District's ("District")
Santa Ana River drainage system; and
WHEREAS, District operates on a pay-as-you-go basis, and
has limited funds available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, in order to assist in the
early solution of flooding problems, desires to participate in the
cost of said East Richfield Channel improvement; and
WHEREAS, it is mutually advantageous for District and City
to cooperate financially in the construction of said flood control
facility improvement under a unified contract; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms and
conditions of which are satisfactory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agreement
with the Orange County Flood Control District in connection with
the improvement of the East Richfield Channel flood control facility
be, and the same are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf
of the City of Anaheim.
TUE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day o. December
1977.
