A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO:1 NCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 144,
EXHIBIT "F" FOR AREA.I; EXHIBIT "A" FOR AREA
II; AND ADDING AN OPEN SPACE ELEMENT TO SAID
GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the recom-
mendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, has
heretofore adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of November, 1977, the City
Planning Commission did hold a public hearing to consider a
General Plan Amendment. The General Plan Amendment does consider
changing the land use designation for:
(1) Area I, a parcel of land involving a total of 7.9 acres
of which 3 acres are on the north side of Vermont Avenue and 4.9
acres on the south side of Vermont Avenue, east of Harbor Boule-
vard and west of Lemon Street; and
(2) Area II, a parcel of land involving 296 acres south of
Nohl Ranch Road, behind the Saddle Club; and
(3) Area III, a parcel of land involving approximately 90
acres east of the intersection of Canyon Rim Road and Serrano
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC77 -252 containing
a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing and a recommendation that said Amendment to the
General Plan designated as Amendment No. 144 be approved, in part,
by the City Council changing the land use designation for the
aforesaid Area I in accordance with Exhibit "A for Area II in
accordance with Exhibit "A not making any change for Area III;
and adding an Open Space Element to said General Plan; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 20th day of
December, 1977, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
City Hall as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 144 and did give notice thereof in the manner and
as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 144, changing the land use designation in the areas
aforedescribed, should be approved in accordance with Exhibit "F"
for Area I; Exhibit "A" for Area II; no change be made for Area
III; and that an Open Space Element be added to said General Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 144 to the General Plan
changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed areas
be, and the same is hereby, approved in accordance with Exhibit
"F" for Area I; Exhibit "A" for Area II, and that an Open Space
Element be added to said General Plan, all in accordance with
Exhibits which are on file with the City Planning Commission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Planning Depart-
ment be, and the same is hereby, instructed to amend the General
Plan Map, and said text to conform to General Plan Amendment No.
144 as herein adopted and approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of December,
1977.
