A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN INCREASE OF $46,000.00
IN THE MAXIMUM CO RPENSATION TO BE PAID TO
R. W. BECK ASSOCIATES PURSUANT TO THAT CER-
TAIN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
R. W. BECK ASSOCIATES DATED APRIL 15, 1975.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and R. W. Beck Associates
entered into an Agreement dated April 15, 1975, wherein R. W. Beck
Associates was hired to provide engineering advice in connection
with the acquisition of power supply resources for the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement contains a provision providing
that the compensation to be paid to R. W. Beck Associates will
not exceed $40,000.00 without first obtaining the written consent
of the City so to do; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 76R -440 dated July 27, 1976,
the City Council authorized an increase in the maximum compensa-
tion to be paid to R. W. Beck Associates pursuant to said Agree-
ment from $40,000.00 to $55,000.00; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution io. 77R -629 dated September 20,
1977, the City Council authorized an increase in the maximum com-
pensation to be paid R. W. Beck Associates pursuant to said
Agreement to $80,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Board of the City of
Anaheim has recommended that the maximum compensation be increased
from $80,000.00 to ;126,000.00; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Anaheim to increase the amount of such compensation in said Agree-
ment in consideration for additional work to be performed by R. W.
Beck Associates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby approve increasing from
$80,000.00 to $126,000.00 the maximum compensation to be paid
R. W. Beck Associates pursuant to that Agreement between the
City of Anaheim and R. W. Beck Associates dated April 15, 1975.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of ',046,000.00 is
hereby appropriated from the $6,000,000.00 Revenue Bond Issue of
1976 to pay for said increase in maximum compensation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17thday of April, 1979.
