1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON
IENT OF A PORTION OF SANTA ANA CANYON ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly posted and published, give notice of its in-
tention to vacate and abandon the public street or alley herein
after described; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of April, 1979, a public hear-
ing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence con-
cerning said proposed vacation and abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find, from the evidence submitted, that the public street or
alley hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for pres-
ent or prospective public street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the public
convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception of
the abutters' right of access hereinafter specifically described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and aban-
donment of a portion of Santa Ana Canyon Road, more specifically
described as follows:
That portion of public roadway commonly known as old
Santa Ana Canyon Road located in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California lying Southerly
of the re- located Santa Ana Canyon Road from approxi-
mately 150' more -or -less to 500' more -or -less W/0 the
center line of Fairmont Boulevard to be abandoned de-
scribed as that portion of Santa Ana Canyon Road, as
described in a deed to the County of Orange recorded
June 7, 1928 in Book 171, page 144 of Official Records
of said Orange County, lying within Parcel 5 as shown
on a map filed in Book 9, pages 1 through 10 of State
Highway Maps in the office of the County Recorder of
said Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southeasterly line of said
Santa Ana Canyon Road, 60.00 feet wide, said point being
the easterly terminus of a curve having a radius of
480.00 feet which is concentric with and lies 30 feet
southeasterly from that certain curve in the centerline
of said road described in said deed as being concave to

the north having a radius of 450.00 feet and a central
angle of 37 02' 45 thence southwesterly along said
southeasterly line through a central angle of 22 46' 10"
a distance of 190.75 feet more or less to the easterly
line of the land described in a deed to Santa Ana Valley
Irrigation Company recorded October 9, 1947 in Book 1536,
page 487, Official Records of said Orange County; thence
along said easterly line North 27° 33' 33" East 50.53
feet and North 44° 49' 53" East 168.50 feet to the north-
westerly line of said Parcel 5 as shown on said map filed
in Book 9, pages 1 through 10 of State Highway Maps;
thence along said northwesterly line North 61 11'
18" East 172.65 feet to a tangent curve concave
northwesterly having a radius of 2110.00 feet; thence
northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a
central angle of 00 21' 27" a distance of 13.17 feet
to the intersection of said northwesterly line with
above described southeasterly line of Santa Ana Can-
yon Road; thence along said southeasterly line South
44 49' 28" West 209.30 feet to the point of beginning.
Reserving unto the City of Anaheim all abutters rights
of access from and to the Santa Ana Canyon Road, a
public street located adjacent to and northerly of the
area abandoned and vacated hereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of the
City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County Re-
corder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 17th day April, 1979.
