1979-185RESOLUTION NO. 79R-185 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY RECORDS, DOCUMENTS, INSTRUMENTS, BOOKS AND PAPERS MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD. WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California authorizes the destruction of records, docu- ments, instruments, books and papers (hereinafter "records which are no longer required or needed by the City, upon approval of the City Council and with the written consent of the City Attorney, provided that said records do not fall within certain specified categories; and WHEREAS, the following described records in the pos- session of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim are records more than two years old and are documents which are authorize for destruction under the provisions of said Section 34090 of the Government Code without making a copy thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim has de- termined that said records are no longer needed or required by the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the determination of the City Clerk and finds the destruction of the records in the best interests of the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim does by the approval of this Resolution hereby give his written con- sent for the destruction of the records herein specified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized to immediately destroy, in a lawful manner, the following described documents under her charge without making any copies thereof, to wit: 1. Amusement device and vending machine permits, protests and correspondence from 1960 through 1976 (CA -61); 2. Coin operated laundry equipment reports, surveys, and correspondence from 1968 through 1974; 3. Close -out sale owner's affidavits from 1970 through 1973; 4. Protests re business licenses and payment of fees from 1963 through 1965; 5. Requests for waivers and waivers of business license fees from 1960 through 1976; -1- 6. Requests for refunds and refunds of business license fees from 1960 and 1976; 7. Single event dance permits from 1960 through 1976; 8. Miscellaneous license requests and temporary permits from 1960 through 197+; 9. Copies of ordinances, publication notices, memoranda, survey and public opinion poll totals from 1960 through 1975; and 10. Cancelled and denied entertainment and dinner dance permits from 1963 through 1975. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon destruciton of the foregoing records, a certificate of destruction shall be executed and the original thereof filed in the office of the City Clerk together with a copy of this resolution. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of March, 1979.
