A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT
FUNDS FROM THE NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION FOR
THE PARTICIPATION OF CITIZENS WITH SCIENTISTS
IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID APPLICATION FOR
AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the National Science Foundation has here-
tofore established a program to make grant funds available
to local agencies for projects involving citizen participation
with scientists in community development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has heretofore
approved a program to implement citizen participation in
human services; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to apply for and obtain
grant funds from the National Science Foundation for purposes
of implementing the aforesaid program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby approve the filing of an
application with the National Science Foundation for grant
funds to be used for the participation of citizens with
scientists in community development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his
designated representative, be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to execute and submit all applications, agreements,
assurances and other documents which may be necessary in
connection with said application.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of
March 1979.
