A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM URGING ALL RESIDENTS TO SUPPORT
THE COMMUNITY PRIDE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Community Pride Program is aimed at
preventing youth problems such as drug and alcohol abuse, run-
aways, child abuse, child molestation and traffic safety prob-
lems; and
WHEREAS, this program requires the active support of
the entire community so that such problems can be prevented;
and
WHEREAS, the Director, Mr. Gene Beyers, has provided
courses at our local schools on such subjects as alcohol and
drug abuse; and
WHEREAS, additional educational programs are to be
scheduled in the future; and
WHEREAS, our children are subject to peer pressure
that we may be unaware of.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim to urge all parents in the City of
Anaheim to actively support the Community Pride Program and
to solicit participation by all people in the City of Anaheim
in this very worthwhile program.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of
March, 1979.
