90-082 RESOLUTION NO. 90R-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR RENTAL OF SPACE AT THE ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the operator of a multipurpose convention facility and an adjacent arena located within the City of Anaheim, California and referred to herein collectively as the "Anaheim Convention Center;" and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has heretofore established rates (hereinafter the "schedule of rates") to be charged for the rental of space within or upon said Anaheim Convention Center; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the schedule of rates in the manner and for the time periods as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the schedule of rates does not exceed the costs reasonably borne by the City of Anaheim in providing said facilities; and WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing upon said schedule of rates as part of a regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council, notices of which public hearing were given in the manner specified in Chapter 15.1 of Part 1 of Division 2 of Title 5 of the Government Code of the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. The schedule of rates to be charged for the rental of space at the Anaheim Convention Center is hereby amended in the manner and for the time periods as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. 2. Nothing contained in this resolution shall be deemed to impose any limitation upon the City, or the procedure to be followed by the City, in establishing or amending the rates set forth herein which would not otherwise apply in the absence of this resolution. 3. The provisions of this resolution shall supersede the provisions of any prior resolutions or actions of the City Council to the extent such prior resolutions or actions are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution. 4. Additional equipment or personnel shall be charged to Tenant at prevailing rates. ~'¢ House lighting, ventilation, heat and/or air conditioning provided on show days. Facility will provide a minimum comfort level and work lighting on other days of tenancy. EVENT REQUIREMENTS AND STAFFING: * Event-related staffing (including but not limited to ushers, crowd control, registered nurses, fire door guards, etc.) is available from City at the Tenant's expense. All event requirements must be approved by City management at least twenty one (21) days prior to the beginning of tenancy. ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND EOU1PMENT: * Catering and concessions are provided exclusively by ARA Leisure Services. Arrangements for these services shall be made through the General Manager of ARA Leisure Services. ARA offices are located in the Convention Center. * Exhibitor and Show telephone services are provided exclusively by CENTEL Facilities Communications. Arrangements for these services shall be made through their office located in the Convention Center. * City can provide additional equipment within the limits of Center's inventory at prevailing rates (See Equipment and Services Rates Schedules). Arrangements for these can be made with the City's Event Coordinator. PARKING: * City reserves the right to charge a fee to all users of its parking areas at the prevailing rate. Vehicles requiring more than one parking space will be charged at a higher rate.
