RESOLUTION NO. 79R-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON JANUARY 4, 1979
FOR THE HIDDEN CANYON PUMPING STATION,
ACCOUNT NO. 51- 619 7105 92180- 32420.
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of November, 1978, the City
Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 78R -752
finding and determining that public convenience and necessity
required the construction and completion of the Hidden Canyon
Pumping Station; and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of January, 1978 at the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open
all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall,
in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did tabulate all
bids so received and did report the result thereof to the City
Council at its regular meeting held on the 23rd day of January,
1979; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement and are not representative of actual
construction costs; that said bids should be rejected and that
said job should be readvertised at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2:00 P.M. on the 4th day of January, 1979, tabulated by the
City Engineer, and submitted to the City Council on January 23,
1979 for construction of the Hidden Canyon Pumping Station be,
and the same are hereby, rejected and that said public improvement
be readvertised at a later date.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and <aJopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 23rd day of January,
1979.
