RESOLUTION NO. 79R -458
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
AND ABANDON A CERTAIN PUBLIC STREET AND FIX-
ING A DATE FOR A HEARING THEREON.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
hereby elect to proceed under the provisions of the Street
Vacation Act of 1941 (Section 8300 et seq., Streets and Highway
Code) in connection with requests for vacation and abandonment
of public streets located within the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby declare its intention to vacate,
abandon and close to public use the following described street,
to wit:
La Jolla Street from Kraemer Boulevard to
a point approximately 1,212 feet easterly
thereof,
as said street is shown on a map or plan on file in the Office of
the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these proceedings are under-
taken subject to the following reservations and exceptions in
favor of the following parties:
Reserving unto the City of Anaheim an ease-
ment for public utility purposes (1) over
the northerly ten (10) feet of the westerly
197 feet of said street and (2) over the
southerly twenty (20) feet of said street.
Reserving unto the Southern California_` Gas
Company an easement for gas main and related
facilities over the southerly twenty (20)
feet of said street, subject to the prior
rights of the City of Anaheim for public
utility purposes; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all persons interested in
or objecting to said vacation and abandonment will be heard at a
public hearing to be held at 3:00 o'clock P.M., or as soon there-
after as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chamber in the
City Hall, 204 East Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California, on:
August 28, 1979
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify
to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the same to be
published in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circu-
lation, printed, published and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th say August, 1979.
