1979-391RESOLUTION NO. 79R -391
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM OPPOSING THE PASSAGE OF SB 462
RELATING TO OUTDOOR ADVERTISING.
WHEREAS, SB 462 proposes that the removal of any adver-
tising structure be subject to payment of full compensation equal
to the value of that property interest; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that this bill would
be an intrusion of local control over land use decision making;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that this bill would
impose a financial burden on cities without State assistance; and
WHEREAS, S3 462 is scheduled for the Assembly's Local
Government Committee on July 18, 1979.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby oppose the Passage of SB 462 relat-
ing to outdoor advertising.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 3rd day of July, 1979.
