A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE NATIONAL COUNCIL
ON ALCOHOLISM, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,
RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim recognizes that an
employee's work performance can be adversely affected by
personal problems; and
WHEREAS, an employee's deteriorating job performance
and proficiency is a concern of City management; and
WHEREAS, personal problems affecting job performance
are often able to be ameliorated, treated, or controlled by
professional assistance; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Employee Assistance
Network, a program of the National Council on Alcoholism,
Orange County, California, is an organization founded to assist
employees and their families to identify specific problems and
locate the necessary assistance; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared between
the City of Anaheim and the National Council on Alcoholism,
Orange County, California, the terms and conditions of which
are satisfactory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an
agreement between the City of Anaheim and the National Council
on Alcoholism, Orange County, California relating to the
establishment of an Employee Assistance Program be, and the
same are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 26t• say of June,
1979.
