A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE SUBMISSION
OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF
CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to undertake a
certain project designated "Jail Video Monitoring System" to
be funded in part from funds made available through the
Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90 -351,
as amended, (hereafter referred to as the Crime Control Act)
administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager
of the City of Anaheim,or his designated representative, is
authorized on its behalf to submit the Application for Grant
for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to
execute on behalf of the City of Anaheim the Grant Award for
law enforcement purposes including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim
agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project
(including any extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime
Control Act and the rules and regulations of OCJP and the Law
Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will be
appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement
expenditures controlled by this body.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved anti adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anahei th 19thday of June, 1979.
