A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING TEE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE ORANGE COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD
YOUTH CORPS, INC., RELATING TO A SUNNIER
YOUTH EI'1PLOY1rENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to sponsor
a Summer Youth Employment Program, ages 14 to 21, to encourage
disadvantaged youths to maintain or resume their education by
providing them with counseling, financial assistance and goal
orientation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has applied to and
has been granted funds by the Orange County Manpower Commis-
sion to conduct a Summer Youth Employment Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services
of an Agency with special knowledge and expertise in the
operation of summer youth programs; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Neighborhood Youth Corps,
Inc., is willing to furnish such specialized personnel,
material and equipment as is required to provide, organize and
operate a Summer Youth Employment Program; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Neighborhood Youth Corps,
Inc., has submitted to the City a form of Agreement providing
for the furnishing of specialized personnel, material and
equipment required to conduct a Summer Youth Employment Program;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to approve
the proposed Agreement between the City of Anaheim and the
Orange County Neighborhood Youth Corps, Inc., and that the same
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said Agreement this day submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the Orange County Neighborhood Youth Corps,
Inc., providing for the furnishing of specialized personnel,
material and equipment required to conduct said Summer Youth
Employment Program upon the terms and conditions and for the
compensation set forth in said Agreement be, and the same is
hereby, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 19th day of
June, 1979.
