1979-334WLEREAS, on April 14, 1978, the City of Anaheiro and
other cities entered into a letter agreement with the law firm
of Spiegel and JcDiarmid for legal services in connection with
an antitrust suit; and
WHEREAS, said letter agreement provided for a fee
arrangement for such legal services; and
w=aAs, the work done by Spiegel and iicDiariid in
connection with FERC Docket nos. L-7777 (Phase II) and L-7796
is substantially work done for the antitrust suit; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim to have services in connection with said FERO
Docket Nos. ]-7777 (Phase II) and E-7796 billed at the same maxi-
mum rates specified in the letter agreement dated April 14, 1973,
covering the antitrust suit in the Federal District Court pro-
ceedings, subject to a success factor on the basis of principles
of said letter agreement; and
WHEREAS, a Supplement to the Letter Agreement of April
14, 1978, has been prepared, the terms and conditions of which
are acceptable to the City Council of the City. of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, 3E IT RESOLVED that the terms and con-
ditlons of said Supplement to t:. Letter Agreement of April 14,
1973, are hereby aoproved and accepted.
BE IT FbR'zhER RESOLVED that the Public Utilities General
Tanager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute
said. Supplement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
