1979-308WHEREAS, Lozano Taxicab Service did on the 2nd
day of May, 1979, file an application for an increase in
rates for taxi service in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the 29th day of May, 1979, was fixed
for a public hearing upon said application, at the hour of
3:00 o'clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Clerk did there-
upon give the applicant at least ten (10) days' written
notice of the time and place of such hearing; and
WHEREAS, said application came on regularly for
hearing before the City Council at a regular meeting on
said date and was duly considered, and the City Council does
find and determine that since the present rates were fixed,
there have been large increases in the costs of labor,
insurance, fuel, automobiles and tires, and that the applica-
tion for an increase in the rates is reasonable and should
be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the application of said Lozano
Taxicab Service, for a new rate schedule as follows, to wit:
$1.00 minimum for the first 1/5 mile;
.20 per each additional 1/5 mile; and
$9.00 per hour waiting time and traffic delay;
be, and the same is hereby approved and granted; and that said
rates shall apply to all taxicabs operated by said applicant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said rates shall be
and remain in full force and effect until the further order
of the City Council.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Anaheim the 9th day of
