1979-267Pe A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 77R -801, PERSONNEL RULE 6, PREMIUM PAY, TO PROVIDE FOR COMPENSATION AT THE REGULAR HOURLY RATE OF PAY FOR SELECTED POLICE CAPTAINS AND LIEUTENANTS WHILE ENGAGED IN INTERNAL SECURITY FOR ANAHEIM STADIUM ROCK CONCERT EVENTS. WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated May 9, 1979 that the job classes of Police Captain and Police Lieutenant be compensated at the regular hourly rate of pay for selected supervisory work performed while engaged in internal security for Anaheim Stadium rock concert events, and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 77R -801, Personnel Rule 6, which established premium pay provisions, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that such compensation policy is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 77R -801, Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay, Section 6.05 be amended to read as follows: 6.05 Notwithstanding the above overtime provisions, there shall be no compensation for the time spent in attending meetings of any kind which are for the purpose of education or training. Police Lieu- tenants shall be compensated at their regular hourly rate of pay for required court appearances during off -duty hours. Police Lieutenants and Police Captains shall be compensated at their regular hourly rate of pay for those selected supervisory work functions performed while engaged in internal security for Anaheim Stadium Rock Concert events. Fire Battalion Chiefs assigned to suppression shall be compensated at their regular hourly shift rate of pay for required shifts over and above the annual schedule. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that except to the extent amended, Resolution No. 77R -801 shall remain in full force and effect. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be May 15, 1979 THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day o Am. 1979.
