A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING SUBMISSION OF A FUNDING
PROPOSAL TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
LAW ENFORCE MEI`dT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION FOR
MANAGING CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONIS (MCI) FIELD
ZEST, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXE-
CUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH
SAID FUNDING PROPOSAL.
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice Law Enforcement
Assistance Administration has established a program and funding
for improving criminal investigations and the processing of appre-
hended offenders known as the "Managing Criminal Investigations"
(MCI) concept; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, through its Police Depart-
ment, desires to participate in said project; and
WHEREAS, said project within the City of Anaheim would
involve total funding in the amount of ;175,000.00 for the fiscal
year 1979 -80 of which amount .78,750.00 would be funded by a grant
from the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration and the remain
ing ;:96,250 would be funded by the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the submission of a funding proposal by
the City of Anaheim to the Law Enforcement Assistance Aministra-
tion for participation in the "Managing Criminal Investigations"
(MCI) program be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to execute any and all documents necessary
in connection with the submission of said funding. proposal.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of May, 1979.
