1979-248RESOLUTION NO. 79R- 248 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS MOHLER DRIVE NO. 7 ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to annex into its boundaries certain unincorporated and uninhabited territory as hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, said City desires to extend the full range of municipal services to said territory in order to better serve the needs of said property and its owners; and WHEREAS, said City desires this resolution to be deemed a resolution of application proposing a change of organization pursuant to Sections 35140 and 35110 of the Government Code of the State of California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: 1. That the within proposal is made pursuant to the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 as set forth in Title 4, Division 2, Part 2 of the Government Code of the State of California. 2. That the nature of the proposed change of organiza- tion is for the annexation of the hereinafter described 1.4351 acres of unincorporated and uninhabited territory to the City of Anaheim. 3. That said unincorporated and uninhabited territory be, and the same is hereby, designated as "Mohler Drive No. 7 Annexation" to the City of Anaheim, and the boundaries of said affected territory are legally described as follows: That certain parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, said point being in the southwest corner of the Mohler Drive No. 6 Annexation boundary to the City of Anaheim; thence leaving said City limit line S 89° 59' 20" W, 1.40 feet; thence N 45 40' 00" W, 349.97 feet to an intersection with the southerly right of way line of Santa Ana Canyon Road as described in the deed recorded in Book 2349, page 334, Official Records of Orange County; thence following along a portion of said southerly right of way line, the following courses and distances: N 48° -1- A map showing the aforesaid boundaries and designated "Mohler Drive No. 7 Annexation to the City of Anaheim" is submitted concurrently with and accompanies this Resolution. 4. That the reasons for the proposed change of organization are as follows: a. Requests by the owners of said unincorporated territory for annexation to the City of Anaheim; and b. To provide full municipal services to an unin- corporated area that is remote from County service facilities and thereby increase the economy and efficiency of urban services. 5. That the City of Anaheim is hereby designated as the chief petitioner with regard to this application and the mailing address of said petitioner is as follows: 6. That the City of Anaheim does hereby request that annexation proceedings be taken and comenced for a change of organization in connection with the hereinabove described unincorporated territory pursuant to the provisions of said Municipal Organization Act of 1977. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim t is 1st day of May, 1979. ATTEST: C T JLW: j h 23' 27" E, 15.25 feet to the beginning of a curve concave northwesterly and having a radius of 2,003.90 feet, a radial line bearing S 41 36' 33" E passes through said point; thence Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 8° 06' 41" an arc distance of 283.69 feet to a point in said curve, a radial line bearing S 49° 43' 14" E passes through said point; thence leaving said southeasterly right of way line S 72 17' 27" E, 44.20 feet; thence S 0 01' 00" E, 103.84 feet to an intersection with the westerly annexation boundary line of the aforementioned Mohler Drive No. 6 Annexation to the City of Anaheim; thence S 0 01' 00" E, 340.16 feet along said westerly line to the point of beginning.
