A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 13TH DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, 1979, FOR A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT: MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNALS
FOR A PERIOD OF 3 YEARS.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 21st day of
August, 1979, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
adopt Resolution No. 79R -484 finding and determining that
public convenience and necessity required the traffic
signal maintenance, repair of damage, preventive maintenance,
painting of equipment and all appurtenant work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting
sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
and all work necessary for said public improvement on the
13th day of September, 1979, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M.
as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on said 13th day of September, 1979, at
the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City
Engineer did open the bid received up to that hour, in public,
in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City
Engineer did review said bid and did report the result there-
of to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the
2nd day of October, 1979; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid
received is in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of
the cost of said public improvement and is not representative
of actual costs for said public improvement, that said bid
should be rejected and readvertised at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the bid received up to the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on the 13th day of September, 1979,
reviewed by the City Engineer and submitted to the City
Council on October 2, 1979 for the Maintenance Contract for
Traffic Signals for a period of 3 years, Account Nos.
01- 263- 6235 -3000 and 01- 263 -6240 -3000, be and the same is
hereby, rejected, and that said job be readvertised at a
later date.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 2nd day of
October, 1979.
