A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF A PROPERTY EXCHANGE AGREE-
MENT AND ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS BY AND
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, THE
MARRIOTT CORPORATION, AND THE COMMUNITY
CENTER AUTHORITY; AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the fee owner of
certain real property located within. the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California; and
WHEREAS, the City has heretofore leased said
real property to the Community Center Authority for the
purpose of constructing the Anaheim Convention Center, and
certain additions thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Marriott Corporation is the fee owner
of certain real property located contiguous to the afore
described City -owned property; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Marriott Corporation
desire to exchange certain portions of their respective
parcels of real property; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said Agreement
are acceptable to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said Agreement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement
and all other necessary and related deeds, instructions and
documents for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
